30th Horticulture Conference Speakers
Dr. John Hartman
JOHN R. HARTMAN received his Ph.D. in plant pathology, (botany minor) from the University of Wisconsin; he is now recently retired part-time Professor and and Extension Plant Pathologist at the University of Kentucky. He has more than 30 years experience with extension educational programming and applied research on diseases of landscape plants. He has also taken sabbatic leaves at the University of California, ADAS in England, and INRA in France to do research on diseases of landscape plants. At the University of Kentucky, Dr. Hartman teaches a graduate-level course on plant disease diagnosis. He is a member of the American Phytopathological Society and the International Society of Arboriculture. He was recently made a Fellow of the American Phytopathological Society.
